The Viewsat Platinum Lite was developed to meet the demand for a lower priced unit with the same power as the Viewsat Platinum. In order to accomplish this, we took the Viewsat Platinum and trimmed the fat. The Lite does not include a card reader or Dolby output. Standard remote included. The Lite also has one set of composite outputs.

I love my Viewsat Lite, the unit is very simple and easy to use, but has many features that a more advanced user could play with. It has a fine picture, and nominal picture quality. A great unit for the FTA beginner.

Tight on cash? but still want a high quality product? This is the receiver for you! It is fast, reliable and compact. Having a 24HR epg guide is must. Never had any issues with this product (2 years+).

i like my lite as a backup/bedroom unit.works very well and very user friendly.only downside no usb.oh well that's why the ultra's in the livingroom.lol.jmo.jackbear.
