SONYSAT DSR-4000 satellite receiver provides digital free-to-air satellite reception. This receiver is fully MPEG2/DVB compliant, support multi-languages, and has an Electronic Program Guide for On-screen channel information and also enable you to program up to 4,000 TV or Radio channels. The firmware is easily downloaded from your PC to the receiver via RS232C port.

Even though its not a well known unit, at times this thing has better support then a Viewsat! No lies, even today a fix came out.

It works great as a backup unit to a high profile FTA unit like a Viewsat or a Sonicview.

For being a decently aged unit still has good support and its very cost effective, if you want to buy one of these just as a backup unit, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.
